Turn a YouTube Video into a New Voiceover Script and Voice
Sometimes you want to make your own version of a topic covered in a video, or turn your own old video into a new, tighter script. Typing out the whole transcript by hand takes a long time. CIVE's Video Voiceover tool does that part for you.
How Video Voiceover works
- Paste a YouTube link.
- Choose a rewrite style: Same Style, Shorter Version, More Engaging, Professional or Casual/Friendly.
- Press Extract. The tool gets the video's subtitles and rewrites them as a voiceover script.
You see the original transcript and the rewritten voiceover side by side. You can edit the new script, copy it, or send it straight to AI Studio to generate the voice.
It costs 8 credits. The video needs subtitles on YouTube (English, Urdu or Hindi). If the tool cannot get them, no credits are used.
Make it your own
A rewritten script is a starting point, not a finished video. To keep your channel safe and original, add your own research, examples and opinions before you record. Reading out someone else's video in different words can still count as reused content, so the real value should come from you. Use your own videos, or videos you have permission to use, as the source.
Conversations: Multi-Voice Dialogue
If your content is a conversation, like a podcast-style video, an interview or a story with characters, a single voice is not enough. The Multi-Voice Dialogue tool turns a dialogue script into one combined audio file.
- Add between 2 and 8 characters, give each a name and choose a voice for each.
- Write the script with each line starting with the character's name in brackets, like [HOST]: Welcome everyone! and [GUEST]: Thanks for having me.
- Check the parsed lines preview to make sure every line was recognized.
- Generate and download the dialogue as an MP3.
The cost depends on how many words the dialogue has, at about 1 credit per 150 words, and it is shown on the button before you generate. Voices include Urdu and Hindi options, so you can make dialogue in the language your audience speaks.
Try Video Voiceover in CIVE for your next script, and use Multi-Voice Dialogue when your video needs more than one voice.
